Tips for Staying Motivated



Do you wake each morning with enthusiasm for the things you need to accomplish? If you do, are you able to maintain that motivation throughout the day? If not, how can you find that enthusiasm and stay motivated so that you can meet the many goals and expectations of the day?


Write it Down

One way to stay motivated throughout your day is to make a to-do list of your goals for the day.  Make sure to write down the things you are struggling to get accomplished – when you cross them off you will feel great!  Try to make it a manageable and realistic list. You can always add more and it can feel great when you do!


Everyone has a few things they procrastinate about, but accomplishing those things can make you feel like your day was more productive.  One way to stay motivated throughout your day is to push as many of those less desirable elements of your to-do list toward the top of the list. You will feel freer to enjoy the things you like doing when you get more mundane goals out of the way.


Go through your list at the end of the day, making sure you crossed or checked off everything that you accomplished.  If there were things that weren’t on the list, add them and cross them off!  Anything that did not get crossed off should be moved to the top of the next day’s list.  You’ll be amazed at how quickly you will be motivated to cross off all of the items on your list!  Creating lists can lead to greater productivity and a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.  Try it!
