Superfoods for Your Skin

 

The old saying “we are what we eat” has only been proven to be truer throughout the years. Our mineral and vitamin intake gives our bodies and skin the boost it needs to battle the forces they face each and every day. Sun and wind cause our skin to dry out, and lotions alone cannot replenish the daily barrage of damage. Luckily, a diet rich in Omega 3, Vitamin A, C and D, antioxidants and selenium helps our skin to heal from the inside out. But it’s not as daunting as it seems – they can all be found in some of our most common foods like blueberries, salmon, sweet potatoes, walnuts, avocado, spinach, kale, tomatoes and more!

 

We all crave junk food and sweets at times, but it can’t be our main source of food if we want to be healthy. Having a little treat from time to time is fine so long as we keep it to a minimum, and there are lots of healthy choices to satisfy your sweet tooth.  A bowl of fresh strawberries with a dab of whipped cream, vanilla ice cream topped with fresh blueberries and nuts, a fruit smoothie. And making simple changes like replacing lettuce with spinach or kale will give your body a huge boost of Omega 3 fatty acids and loads of vitamins and minerals. Swap out your russet for a sweet potato and you’ll be adding a dose of high beta-carotene along with vitamins A, C, and E.

 

We love our skin and the only way we can keep it looking great is by eating lots of great foods filled with the minerals and vitamins it needs and lots of water, water, water!

While we might only have to water our house plants once or twice a week, our bodies are working a lot harder so they need more, and eight glasses a day should be our goal to stay properly hydrated. Yes, water can sometimes get a little boring, but not if you add a little action to your daily intake. Ever try a spring of fresh mint or a few slices of citrus? There are plenty of infusion water bottles these days where a small cage can hold your choice of fruit to give your water that little extra kick.

 

Small changes have a huge impact to keep your body and skin looking and feeling great!

    I have purchased your entire line of skin care! I love it! Each day on Facebook there is another product that I know is not from your line! Today it was from Entertainment Tonight and you do not hold up the product but they keep showing it in the middle of you talking. Today was Novacare. Everyday it is some other cream but not yours. How can they do this to you! I am just appalled at the daily lies. Please let me know if I am incorrect.
