The Importance of Eye Creams

christie-brinkley-authentic-skincare-importance-eye-creamYou know the saying ‘Eyes are the window to the soul?’ Well would you believe that the saying is almost true? The eyes are a super important area of the face. After all it is way you can see the world, and unfortunately one of the first areas that tends to show signs of aging. The eye area is one of the tenderest areas of all the skin on your face. The layers are so thin, and tender that they deserve some much needed TLC at all times. Here is why you need to add eye cream to your skincare routine.

Eye cream is one of the most under rated creams when it comes to a skincare routine. Many people feel that since they use a moisturizer that they are covered when it comes the eye area. While there are multiple factors that can attribute to the eyes having a bit of issues; incorporating an eye cream into your routine can make a huge difference. One of the best things to think about when adding an eye cream into your routine is to start off light – by starting off light you will ensure that you don’t clog those ultra-thin layers. Adding too thick of an eye cream can clog the area around the eyes, and at times form milia- a keratin filled cyst like bump that forms just under the skin’s epidermis.

Time to add an eye cream! Serum such as Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare REFOCUS Eye + IR Defense is the perfect addition to any routine. This unique blend of ingredients ranging from Neodermyl to Elix-IR makes this eye cream a dream. Reduction of under eye puffiness, dark circles, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Apply lightly with a light tapping motion under the eye area and up to the orbital bone, twice a day. This will help to ensure that your eye area is properly hydrated, and that there is proper circulation.

So, next time you decided to pass on an eye cream think about how fast the eyes start to show the signs of aging. Remember, by adding an eye cream to your skincare routine you can help fight off wrinkles, crow’s feet and fine lines. What more of a reason do you need?

I’m glad I read your importance of using an eye cream. I recently had to go to my Optometrist to check a bump on the corner of my eye. He had to use a needle to drain a fluid cyst. He didn’t know what caused it. Now I know thanks to you Christie. I probably used to thick of a cream without knowing the danger. Thanks so much. I will definitely be careful and try your new eye cream. I’m also anxious to try a primer that may hide and smooth lines before the moisturizer. From a big fan.
